About the Smt NPS College Incubation Centre

Smt NPS College, established in 1983 has been offering higher education in Arts, Commerce and Science disciplines among the students of the locality as well as the pan regional domain, mostly belonging to ST and SC communities of lower income group. The college has been putting in all efforts to strengthen the society by upholding the ethos of intellectual growth and value orientated education, throughout its glorious existence in the past in about three decades. Besides, it is also offering an adequate platform for the pursuit of skill enhancement and entrepreneurial skills.


Smt NPS College Incubation Centre’ was formally launched on 26th June, 2019.TheCentre aims at encouraging and facilitating innovative and creative ideas for promoting entrepreneurial temperament among the youths. The centre will assist by means of training and mentoring the aspiring entrepreneurs transform their propositions to viable business entities in association with assigned collaborators.


Smt NPS College Incubation Centre is dedicated to create an ecosystem wherein the innovative set of skills or ideas of the students in particular and the youth of the locality in general, is effectively nurtured and convert such ideas into a product for commercial sustenance by infusing and harnessing entrepreneurial spirit as well as enhancing competencies in order to make them self-reliant and thereby ensuring a sustainable society at large.

Objectives 

  • To inculcate and nurture the culture of innovation at campus
  • To seed in the minds about Start-ups and to create vibrant start-up ecosystem in the campus
  • To help in developing Innovative Ideas to take care of Societal needs.
  • To find solutions for real life problems by providing mentoring
  • To Translate Ideas to Products and a platform for easy commercialisation with minimal commercial values
  • To provide guidance to convert the innovative ideas to products, and finally to help the and potential entrepreneurs to build a start up to take the product to market.
  • Explore and forge collaborative partnership with mutually beneficial industry, institute or organization deemed fit to go with in pursuance with the desired goals.

Eligibility:

The Smt NPS Incubation Centre seeks to support all Faculty and Students to translateinnovation into products, processes and services that are commercially viable.

Admission to the Incubation centre is open to:

1.     Faculty and Staff (Current) including Adjunct faculty

2.     Students (Current and Alumni <2 years)


Selection Process:

Submit an e-application form to npsincubationcentre@gmai.com. Applications will be accepted semi-annually in March and October.

1.     Screening by NPSCIC Committee (Proposals are examined with attention to financial, technical and social impact parameters)

2.     Final approval by Incubation committee


Post Incubation:

Incubatees may be offered shared space at NPSCIC in

  • BRANDING: Incubatees may apply for permission to brand themselves as “NPSCICincubated company”.

Support for Incubation

A panel of Expert Members will process the applications, interview the applicants and select the ventures for incubation after carefully evaluating the business idea, growth prospects, innovative content and the suitability of the promoter team.
